[ARCHIVED SPRING 2012]
Praise for MTC's RENT (2011):
"...the vocal performances and musical arrangements in the show were very well done (the band was hidden from view, but sounded outstanding). Also strong was the emotional investment that the cast had in their characters and the show. Whether or not you're a musical fan...there will definitely be a number of moments in the show to be impressed with." -The Retriever Weekly [to read the rest of the review, click here]
“Amazing. I loved it.”
“Anyone within driving distance of UMBC, you need to go see UMBC Musical Theatre Club[s] RENT… What an incredible show.”
“This was the first Rent show that I saw where I cried. Only an amazing, believable cast can do that…”
“Best performance I’ve seen in all my years here.”
“[The Cast] rocked RENT like I have never seen it rocked before.”

Praise for MTC's Pippin (2009):
“All the characters, from McComas’ […] Pippin to Tyler Beals hilarious […] Lewis, Pippin’s dimwitted brother, to Kelly Fey’s heartfelt […]Catherine, were characterized by enthusiasm, but most importantly, the actors looked like they were genuinely having fun.” -The Retriever Weekly [to read the rest of the review, click here]
Praise for MTC's Company (2008):
"The show is funny, filled with fantastic music, and thoughtful - you'll leave considering your relationships, and appreciating your friends, even if they're a little crazy sometimes."

Praise for MTC's You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown (2007):
"Sure to please are Monique Cucchi, as Snoopy, who embraces the cartoonish aspects of her character with exaggerated expressions and movements, Fey's Lucy's question-and-answer scenes, in which she tries to determine her level of "crabbiness” (and we remember why Lucy always tickled us pink), the attempted teamwork of the full cast in the baseball sequence, and the sweet sentiments of the final song, "Happiness.”What helps the production most is the sense of camaraderie amongst the cast and crew. The Musical Theater Club, a spirited UMBC program on a campus that is often accused of being woefully un-spirited, has more than earned our support."
